"I'm not suffering from insanity....I'm loving every minute of it"-Whitefolkz This quote is the best way to describe the sound of Whitefolkz, an original artist with an explosive sound coming from Washington, D.C., the nations capital. No one is 100% sure where Whitefolkz was born or where he is from, but his mother claims to hold a copy of a birth certificate that says he was born in Alexandria, VA. When asked where he is from Whitefolkz responds by saying, Topp Dogg Hill...the group of artists he works with and considers family. Whitefolkz has been producing and rapping since the age of 15 and has been playing guitar and piano even longer. In interviews, he cites his major influences as Andre 3000, Prince, Marilyn Manson, Jimi Hendrix, UGK, and Curtis Mayfield. Whitefolkz full-length album H.O.M.E., produced by Drum Majors ATL is currently available on Itunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and everywhere else music is sold online. He has released countless mixtapes since hitting the scene, but two that stand out are "F**k Your Mixtape" and "AlphaDogg". Both of these projects were sponsored by Coast2CoastMixtapes.com, The Fleet DJ's and Revolt Radio, collectively receiving over 300,000 downloads. Recently Whitefolkz has received the "cosigns" of many heavy hitters and well known entities in the music industry nationwide, i.e,. DJ Ykcor, DJ Ames,The Funkregulata Celo, Steve Francis, Field Mob, Drum Majors ATL, EZStreet, DJ DP, DJ Bless, PleaseDontstare.com, DJBooth.net, HipHopDX.com, WorldstarHipHop.com and AllHipHop.com Whitefolkz has performed all over the world, with a loyal fanbase stretching from Atlanta, Georgia to Tokyo, Japan, never forgetting his core, Washington, D.C.
